2011 Recruiting Sessions

The UOAA is proud to present our 2011 Recruiting Session lineup. This year we have two recruiting sessions scheduled.

In our first session (September 14th, 2011), students will be able to meet and network with associates, seniors, managers and partners from KPMG and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

In our second session (September 16th, 2011), students will be able to interact and network with associates, seniors, managers and partners from Hobb and Company as well as several local firms (which include BDO Oshawa, Ierfino and Associates, and more).

It is vital that members interested in attending these sessions RSVP in the Events section of our website.

UOAA Annual General Meeting

On September 13th, 2011, the UOAA will be having their annual general meeting outlining the events and services that our association will be giving back to you the students.

This meeting will be held in UA1140 from 5pm to 7pm and will be MANDATORY for any students that are interested in attending our recruiting sessions for the 2011 / 2012 school year.  It is also important that you RSVP for this event (and future events), as it allows our committee to have a clear indication on exact numbers of students attending.

Membership fees will also be collected at this AGM (for more information about our membership fees, please visit our membership tab).

 

Oil and gas executive donates $1.5 million to UOIT

The University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) will accelerate its alternative fuel research efforts thanks to a $1.5-million donation from Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sure Energy Inc. Jeffrey Boyce, The donation, the largest gift UOIT has received from an individual, will fund the Jeffrey S. Boyce research chair in Natural Gas (NG) as an Alternative Transportation Fuel. Read more

UOIT's enrolment confirmation increase highest in GTA

OSHAWA, ON – Statistics recently released by the Ontario Application Centre (OUAC) confirm that more students than ever are choosing the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) for their post-secondary studies. Year-over-year percentage increases show that UOIT is the leading GTA university for overall enrolment confirmations and first in the province for first-choice confirmations. Read more
