What’s new at PwC?

In mid-December, more than one thousand people from around the world participated in a first-of-its-kind, 72 hour “jam session” intended to better understand how the motivations and values of our people differ across generations.

Through the online forum, people shared their experiences, voiced their opinions and discussed their ideas on careers, work styles and work-life balance. This jam session was part of a comprehensive study of more than 100,000 PwC people conducted by the University of Southern California (USC) and the London Business School to better understand the implications of generational differences for leadership, management and team practices.

What did people say?

“The jam session provided us with an opportunity to be heard on the global stage. Within PwC, people want to create positive change, and this jam session provided the ideal means to combine unique ideas and perspectives to create actionable solutions.”

Jordan, Senior Associate, Calgary

“We really had an opportunity to dig into the issues – from improving the promotion structure to making global secondments easier. It was neat to generate ideas to address those issues.”

Tamara, Consultant, Toronto

“It was great talking to people from around the world to share knowledge, learn more about ourselves, and gain an understanding of our fellow peers.”

Rebecca, Associate, Montreal
