Internship Experience in Hong Kong
We would like to invite you to an exciting event that will feature our 2011 Ontario Global Edge participants!
On Friday November 25, the Hong Kong Economic Trade Office in Toronto will host an Internship Information Session to promote student internships in Hong Kong. Our students have been asked to give the main presentation for this event! The event is titled, Internship Experience in Hong Kong (Presentation by Ontario Global Edge Participants, UOIT). Our 2011 OGE participants will give a presentation recapping their internship and Ontario Global Edge experiences. The event will be held at the University of Toronto and is open to all Ontario students, university faculty and staff, and industry representatives. It will also be attended by representatives from the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development and Innovation. It will be a wonderful networking opportunity!
We would love to have some UOIT representation at this event and hope you will be able to make it! It will certainly be of interest to those of you who may be interested in interning abroad (specifically in Hong Kong) or learning more about the advantages of gaining international experience!
**UOIT students who attend this event will be reimbursed for their travel expenses**

UOIT's Annual Career and Education Fair
On Thursday, October 6th, the Student Experience Centre is hosting the annual Career & Education Fair from 11a.m. to 3p.m. in the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre, Gyms 3 & 4. Representatives from over 50 companies, professional associations, and educational institutions will be on hand to talk about their organizations, graduate programs, discuss career paths and answer questions. Oil and gas executive donates $1.5 million to UOIT
The University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) will accelerate its alternative fuel research efforts thanks to a $1.5-million donation from Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sure Energy Inc. Jeffrey Boyce, The donation, the largest gift UOIT has received from an individual, will fund the Jeffrey S. Boyce research chair in Natural Gas (NG) as an Alternative Transportation Fuel.

OSHAWA, ON – Statistics recently released by the Ontario Application Centre (OUAC) confirm that more students than ever are choosing the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) for their post-secondary studies. Year-over-year percentage increases show that UOIT is the leading GTA university for overall enrolment confirmations and first in the province for first-choice confirmations. Read more
